
JENNIFER LYNCH
Jennifer Lynch joined Tough & Podrebarac as an associate after practicing litigation for several years at one of Canada’s leading national law firms. She became a partner in 2007.
Her practice encompasses a wide range of general corporate and commercial matters, including shareholder and oppression claims, class action defence, employment/wrongful dismissal disputes and insurance law. Jennifer acts and has acted on a number of major class action proceedings representing defendants with respect to breach of contract, negligence and unjust enrichment claims. Jennifer was also counsel to one of the parties involved in the Toronto Computer Leasing and Toronto External Contracts Inquiries. She has advised and represented a private sector organization on several privacy and access to information matters, including a judicial review at the Ontario Divisional Court. She has also represented and advised clients in several commercial arbitrations.
Jennifer has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario and at the Queen’s Bench in Saskatchewan on a variety of matters, including motions, applications and appeals.
Jennifer obtained a B.A. (Honours) in History and Political Science from Queen’s University, and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Dalhousie University with an LL.B. in 2001 with upper class standing. While at Dalhousie Jennifer clerked with the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and placed third in the Gale Cup Moot. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002.
Jennifer is a member of the Advocate’s Society, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
